Frampton vs. Gutierrez is Now OFF - Photos of Injuries!

By Shaun Brown

Tomorrow night's fight between former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton and Andres Gutierrez in Belfast is off.

The bout had been sanctioned as a WBC World Featherweight title eliminator but that was quashed after Frampton came in one pound over the 126lb limit.

Gutierrez suffered injuries due to a freak accident and posted a photos of those injuries to his personal social media account. He suffered several bad cuts, reportedly due to a slip and fall accident in the shower.

In a statement released by Cyclone Promotions tonight it read:

Cyclone Promotions and The SSE Arena regret to announce that the “Return of The Jackal” event scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 29th July, has been cancelled due to an accident to Andres Gutierrez.

It is hoped that the event will be rescheduled but ticket holders are advised to retain their tickets and contact point of purchase for further information.

Please listen out for announcements on local radio stations or check
 for updates.

We very much regret the inconvenience caused.

The fight was to be shown live on free-to-air in the UK with Channel 5 and Spike set to broadcast the card.

Frampton has just signed a 5 fight deal with Hearn and dropped Cyclone. He missed weight to avoid Gary Russell JR to fight Lee Selby

No way he got phucked up like that in 3 different areas of his head during a slip. Looks like he was jacked up by some of the Irish Mob. only in boxing.
