  • Nah, I disagree. Tito wasn't just a left hook power puncher, he was a good boxer with a good jab and also a powerful right hand. He did rely heavily on power thiugh because he had excellent stamina and wouldn't let fighters take a break. The type of fighters that could beat a prime tito were boxers who could move consistently with great jabs. That's not Canelo. He doesn't rely on his jab and his stamina isn't the best. He tries to stay in the middle of the ring and fights in spurts only to conserve energy. As far as vargas, did you follow his career or did you follow boxing after he was done? (honest question) he beat campas, winky Wright and Ike quartey before he was 23 yrs old. The fights he lost after tito were because that fight took his prime away and he still gave Oscar and mosley (first fight) hell. His loss to Mayorga was after a long layoff and it was his retirement fight. He was way past done by then.
