Im doing a thread in another forum using ring annual rankings to rate HW fighters opposition. No surprises in the top 2, but thought you might be interested in who nestled in at no.3 at the moment!
Rankings so far based on no. of wins:
1. Muhammad Ali: 28-4
2. Joe Louis: 26-3
3. Ezzard Charles: 15-6
4. Larry Holmes: 14-4
5. Lennox Lewis: 13-2-1
6. Wladimir Klitschko: 11-2
7. Mike Tyson: 11-4
8. Evander Holyfield: 10-5-1
9. Floyd Patterson: 9-6
10. Rocky Marciano: 9-0
11. Sonny Liston: 8-3
12. Joe Frazier: 8-4
13. George Foreman: 7-4
14. Max Schmelling: 7-4
Should clarify, thats their record vs guys rated in the top 10 for the year before they fought. Figured there was no point using rankings from after they fought!
