The above Musashi NHK taiga drama is based off of a book written by Eiji Yoshikawa. It didn’t start out as a book per se, it was featured in a Japanese news paper, commissioned by the Japanese government during WW2 to keep morale high. It’s a captivating read for sure. Yoshikawa Eiji is from Osaka and never went to college(luckily)
