Hey man whats happening.
I think the UFC is in a transitional period right now as a company. They were the lil sports company that could for a long time & now they are a $4B company. The relationship between the owners & fighters have drastically been altered because of that purchase & there have been a lot of minor conflicts largely I believe because of that. That'll work itself out sooner or later, but a correction has been needed for a time long anyway.
As for the fights themselves the issues between the UFC & the fighters hasn't helped make this year all that great + with Rousey being gone & Conor looking for his boxing super payday. The UFC is always growing names doe so I suspect while 2017 is looking like a bit of a lost year (like 2014 when it seemed like every name guy was getting injured), I suspect once this Conor boxing thing gets done & he comes back or doesn't a lot of stuff gets worked out & moved unto a better path for 2018 & beyond.
