WORLD FIGHTING ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES FINAL BOUT JASON BLACK AND CHAD SAUNDERS ARE SET TO DO BATTLE

LAS VEGAS (November 1, 2002) With only weeks remaining till November 23rd, the World Fighting Alliance is hard at work making its third installment a night to remember. The stage is set to explode at the beautiful Alladin Resort and Casino’s 5,000- seat venue where dazzling lights, electrifying sounds, and delectable beauties will take the “Fight club meets the Night club” mantra to new heights in mixed martial arts. Amongst all the excitement, the WFA is proud to announce the final bout to round out its stacked card of seven tantalizing teamings. Promising newcomers Jason Black and Chad Saunders will both be looking to make a splash in the welterweight pool of fighters and have chosen the WFA as their proving ground. A Miletich Martial Art’s fighter, fiery Jason Black made his WFA debut at its inugural show last year. Waging war against the venerable Antonio McKee, Black walked away with the draw. This time, the two-time All-American wrestler says things will be very different. Sporting a 16-0-1 record, look for the experienced Black to display the well-rounded skills characteristic of the talented Iowans he trains with daily. He’ll need nothing less for the savvy submission skills opponent Saunders will undoubtedly send his way. Florida native Chad Saunders has impressively accumulated 11 of his 12 wins via submission, but don’t expect this aggressive youngster to be limited to the ground game alone. As a training partner to lightweight dynamo Din Thomas for the past five years and the newest addition to the Zinkin/American Kickboxing Academy team, Saunders will be no slouch on his feet...should the fight remain standing, that is. This hungry welterweight has been looking for competition that will take his game to the next level and Black has answered his call.
