A void now exists at 112 pounds, as the unbeaten three-division titlist has abandoned his World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight reign. The development was announced at a press conference Tuesday in Tanaka's hometown of Nagoya, Japan.

Just like to point out to all of Tank Davis' fans that Tanaka is 24 years old, a three division world champion, and is moving up to challenge Kazuto Ioka for his fourth weight championship, in his 16th fight, at 24 years old.

Meanwhile Tank moving back down to a weight he can't even make.

Credit to Tanaka, he is going balls to the wall after greatness. What a huge fight this will be in Japan, young lion trying to take down the long reigning old lion. **** I'm looking forward to this! Guaranteed war!!!

Ioka vs Tanaka is a GREAT FIGHT. Could be a passing of the torch moment. Tanaka is ostensibly following in Ioka’s footsteps trying to be one of Japan’s few 4 weight world champions.

115 pound weight class is insane.

The best division in boxing by far.

Great news and hopefully now we'll see him included in the P4P talk. His fight against in Sho Kimura in 2018 was unbelievable and well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it. Super Fly is stacked!
