Zab Judah arrested for unpaid child support

July 27, 2006 -- Former boxing champ Zab Judah was busted because he owes about $60,000 in back child support, The Post has learned.


He was arrested Sunday at Madison Square Garden, where he had played in a charity basketball game. The next day, a judge ordered him to pay up, and set $20,000 bail for failing to appear in court on previous occasions. Judah made bail after being held for two days.

He allegedly owes the money to Natashia Wright for their daughter, Annesia, 4. Wright has been trying to get to Judah for years, but he bobs and weaves past his court dates, said her lawyer, Suzanne Bracker.

I say good. If you have a child and do not have custody then you had better pay to help that child.

I was raised by a single mom who recieved not one penny from my father while raising us. Man it was tough. Come home from school and theres no food in the cupboard. Getting sent to school in the best clothes that mom could afford with the kids so cruely making fun of me for it. She did what she could and I love her for it but man it was tough. We got by though with what we had.

Later, after I had grown and moved out she finally recieved compensation for the child support owed. Im glad that she got something from him.

I havent seen my dad in years and really have no desire to. He had 2 children and then just skated out of the picture after a couple of years and pretty much left us for dead in my eyes. I have plenty of hate towards that man for what he did.

My sister has connected with him and actually journeyed out of state to stay with him for a week or 2. She wonders why I dont want to see him and I tell her that I needed a dad when I was a boy. Now im a man and he says that he needs to know me and such. Your a little late pal, go on with your life and Ill do the same with mine.

Parents need to care for their children. Judah has made some nice cash in the fight game and there is no reason that he should not support his children.

I say its good that he has to take responsibilty for his children and I am glad that he was busted for it.

Thats true too.....athletes are excessively charged for child support by gold diggers and the law allows it which is wrong.....but he should be paying something I pay 600 a month and they don't know what I really make but I will tell you it is probably less per year than he has avged per fight in his career.......
