BSO sources tell us that a deal between Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev has been completed and an announcement will be forthcoming likely on Friday.
It was just a matter of time after Kovalev survived a scare in his last fight.
Kovalev didn’t want to fight in November, but the money was just too much to turn down. Kovalev will likely make over $10 million. Canelo is guaranteed $32 million.
Canelo will be trying to win a title in a 4th weight division and will be going up two weight classes to try to get it.
