This article articulates the current state of boxing.

But nobody will point the finger at the real reason boxing can’t recapture the hearts and minds of the mainstream. Greedy, lazy promoters have reached into the pockets of clueless, business school TV execs to grab at some fast cash. And in the pursuit of easy money, they’ve created an atmosphere where big fights can’t be made, new followers can’t be created, and fans keep getting disrespected in the hustle.

This is no way to run a business

Fans are the problem. If they continue supporting and paying for crap fights then that's what they will get.

BS! The fans have kept this sport alive. The promoters give us crap & refuse to work together.

Boxing fans are the best fans out of all the sports

Promoters, Fanboys who don't want to see their favorite fighter face the best, Networks and corruption has ruined the sport. Casuals can't stand corruption and Boxing is notorious for it. Everyone knows there is corruption but nobody does anything about it. Example Given: if Fury wasn't robbed and officially beat Wilder the rematch would have been in the contract and would have happened. It would have also brought in alot of fans since Fury's comeback story was so great. But instead of that they had to protect Wilders 0 and we all saw what happened after. Different promoters... rematch didn't happen.
