Smith could not KO Biosse, a boxer who is ranked 359th in the world and had been KOed 5 times by other boxers who must have hit him harder than Smith did. Gaining huge amounts of weight in the 30 hours between the weigh in and the fight does not help a boxer fight better. A weigh gain of more than 15 pounds probably does a boxer more harm than good. Nobody reading this has probably gained even 10 pounds in one day. It's not easy and it's not healthy. If they fought Canelo would probably weigh about 173 and Smith might be 182 at a guess. Canelo is a 5 foot 8 inch solid hard middleweight but not a super middleweight.
