Hearn sent the contract to Wilder 3 days late. Now he's ignoring Wilder's emails

Finkel confirmed the paperwork Matchroom Boxing’s Barry Hearn was received three days later than planned on Monday, and by Tuesday had sent TWO POINTS to be reaffirmed by Joshua's handlers before making the fight official.

Giving an update on Thursday, Finkel explained a roadblock had been hit as a result of a failure to respond on the part of Hearn.

"We looked at the contract on Monday and raised two specific details in the paperwork that we needed clarification of," Finkel exclusively told World Boxing News.

"It's frustrating as Eddie Hearn is stating in the media that we need to be quick and sign the contract, but how can we sign if they don't respond to our email and clarify our concerns?

"If we are being rushed we really need to hear back from Barry in order to be able to complete things on our side," he added.

And Hearn is on Twitter lying about Wilder and Showtime

Barry Hearn does not run Matchroom Boxing. Maybe Finkel sent his questions to the wrong email address?

Stop playing games Wilder and sign the damn contract you asked for, you said you agree to all terms. Just pick up the phone if there's a problem.

People see through your BS stalling.

He let's his son run it, but papa Hearn is still the big boss and makes the final decision.

If they're not answering email, they certainly wouldn't answer phone.

But you seek clarification in email so that things are in WRITING.

The terms are agreed, Wilder publically accepted them. The contract was sent. What more is there to discuss?

People saw this coming a mile away from Wilders team. He stalls. Do you honestly think Matchroom just stopped communicating with Wilders team after months of discussion? After just sending official documentation? Wise up this is another PR play by crying to the media and any creases could have been worked out behind closed doors.

Hell, maybe they should have a meeting? Would they turn up this time? I doubt it.

First he's shown for the deceitful toad that he is

He's then brought down to earth with the reminder that at 40 he still works for his daddy & needs the old man to step in when fatboy makes a mess

These are legal documents governing a multi million dollar deal. There are pages and pages of terms, clauses, fine print, etc that weren't discussed before. Basic terms were agreed to, then you send a contract. Of course the other side will then come back seeking clarification. The first draft of a contract is never signed. It's a process.

You're drinking the kool aid. Use your brain. Who benefits the most from stalling and avoiding this fight? Wilder, who has nothing to lose, or AJ, who has everything to lose? Take your fan goggles off for one second and ask yourself logically who is going to be more eager to make this fight happen. The dude on top of the world already with everything to lose, or the dude who has no way to get on top of the world without this fight?

How do you know they weren't discussed before? What have they been discussing for 2 months? You yourself said that ALL the finer details are worked out before contracts are exchanged. When it suited your argument you were happy to see Finkel demand that Joshua/Matchroom agree to a deal without ANY of the details.

Now that the tables have turned and you have flipped again.
