NSB Pick 'em #28 and #29 Friday May 25th 2018

    Friday May 25th 2018. Ota-City, Tokyo (GMT +9)

    Naoya Inoue vs Jamie McDonnell
    Ken Shiro vs Ganigan Lopez

    BETTING ODDS:

    Inoue: 1/6, McDonnell: 4/1
    Shiro: 1/4, Lopez: 11/4
    Ways fighters can win:
    Decision: WIDE or CLOSE
KO: EARLY (1-4), MID (5-8) or LATE (9-12)

Examples of the ways you can state your decision:
PICK EM CREW, McDonnell, Decision, Close
PICK EM CREW, Shiro, KO, MID, x3
If no multiplier is specified in your pick (ie x2, x3) then it will be assumed that no multiplier is being used (x1)
If you wish to pick a Draw result, simply state your Username, both fighter names and DRAW, ie:

PICK EM CREW, Shiro, Lopez, DRAW

    NOTES:
-Draws are worth 120pts. A perfect pick without a multiplier is 30pts.

-CLOSE is <12 pts difference, or anything closer than 116-112 on all three scorecards. WIDE is >=12 pts difference, or anything equivalent to 116-112 on all three cards or wider.

-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.

-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. Everyone starts with 5 doubles and 3 triples to use throughout the year. If you forget how many you have left, check the leaderboard in the master thread.

Please note these bouts are taking place on Friday night in Tokyo (GMT +9) that means European players will have to have their votes in by Friday lunchtime (roughly) and those of you on the other side of the Atlantic will probably be sipping on your morning coffee when this excellent pair of fights are kicking off... might want to think about getting your votes in by Thursday night!

      RJJ-94-02-GOAT,
      Inoue KO/TKO 9-12
      Shiro decision close

(Was really tempted to go with Lopez cause of the odds though)

It was a toss-up... thing is Inoue - McDonnell was kind of a must and it made sense to do the Shiro fight too being on the same card - slightly higher ranking than Ancajas - Sultan (#1 and #6 vs #2 and #8 per TBRB) and slightly closer for the betting odds (11/4 on Lopez vs 7/2 on Sultan)...

We coulda done all 3 I guess (and Yafai - Carmona was considered too, but too wide) but just decided on the doubleheader this week in part for convenience. Besides - about time our brothers in the Far East got some attention..
