Sanchez: GGG Will NEVER be unified; Saunders Wants Lottery Money

    https://********/gDgGrefiPQc (go to 4:46 mark)

Abel saying the belts are no longer top priority because Saunders will price himself out. Now the priority is "Gennady's best interests."

He said since Billy Hoe asked for $7 million to fight Jacobs that he would ask for "Anthony Joshua type money" to fight Golovkin.

In this interview https://********/u1fBrXrfS3o BJS demands £5million POUNDS ($6.7 million USD) to fight Jacobs. Then goes on to say "Warren and Eddie Hearn never do business together." But he did say he'll be interested in being the first to conquer GGG. But what would he demand? who knows.

Since Lee lost his belt, it’s rather odd how Abel never brought up BJS.

Apparently they were negotiating with Saunders prior to this bout so they may have a good idea thst Saunders is going to price himself out. However I think Sanchez is talking through his hat on this one. He had a hard time coming up with an answer. If Canelo falls through I'm certain Golovkin is headed to Japan.

Abel Sanchez: “If Ward beats Kovalev, then it’s going to be a problem (to make the Lil’G fight) because Andre is going to want 100% of the money.”

Yeah, let’s blame BJS... or any Lil’G opponent as usual. It’s the Lil’G dogmaism

Can't blame Saunders. He might as well get a huge payday for the beating Golovkin would administer. As you say, I think Murata might be Sanchez' next choice.

It's possible that BJS will price himself out, but this sounds like Sanchez trying to cover his ass if they decide to drop the IBF to pursue big money fights.

And that's lame - they whined that Martinez, Sturm and company did not want to fight him because he wasn't worth the risk, but they're getting ready to do the same with Derevyanchenko. Lame.

Didn't Saunders actually sign a contract to fight GGG at Expo '17 in June last year in Kazakhstan but GGG didn't end up fighting because they waited for the Canelo fight?

Maybe he feels his worth has gone up due to more exposure from beating Lemiuex on American TV.

That said, i don't think Saunders is a ducker or anything. Even back at domestic level, he always fought the best guys around that level when picking up and defending titles. He seems like he will take the fight if he's paid fairly for a unification fight.
