Comments Thread For: Joshua Warns That Wilder Will Have To Bend on His Demands

Anthony Joshua says "it is not time to sit back" as he prepares for the next phase of his boxing career. Joshua's unanimous points victory over New Zealander Joseph Parker in Cardiff on Saturday gave him another world title and a 21st victory of his career. Undefeated American Deontay Wilder the division's other champion looks set to feature sooner rather than later on British star Joshua's fight schedule.

Because the fear is not just about losing. It is greater than that. The fear is more about the embarrassment after losing - when people see that AJ is really all hype with great marketing and support by the media.

Further, the other issue is that an Alabama country boy weighing only 220 lbs with 'chicken' legs and per the delusional folks on here - no technical skills, KOs a 250 lbs Olympic Gold champion who is supposedly much more technical than Wilder. The disgrace is what they are not willing to deal with.

AJ makes himself look bad everytime he talks, no wonder Hearns is more of the mouthpiece for Team Joshua and even he has made AJ look just as bad these last few weeks!

Didn't you agree with Wilder's proposition on camera about him taking whatever you offer but if he wins then in a rematch you have to take the same percentage he took!?

It's on Hearns and Haymon now, we'll see who bends in the ring when contracts are signed!

Usually the B-side has to, no debate in that. We all want to see the fight so we need to put pressure on each side to play their role, the B-side can’t pretend as if they are the A-side, that would stop the fight from happening.

Joshua ALWAYS sounds sooo evasive when it comes to Wilder.....I wouldnt have expected him to say anything else than what he's now said, next It'll be Eddie along those same lines. Wilders eventually gonna be like I'll take 5% MAKE the fight happen - just to see what they say.....then they'll be like,"Wilders too disrespectful, the fights bloody OFF!!...These guys have the upper hand and theyre gonna continually use it - that money train is waaay more important to them.....thats why it'll be oh so cool when the robot primadonna gets dented up and hopefully toppled over.....

Notice that Joshua and Hearn have been saying this forever??? Wilder needs to be realistic, wilder needs to bend, blah blah blah. But I notice that they never say what is realistic. Wilder is willing to go to the UK, wilder is willing to take 40%, he's willing to fight Whyte, he's even willing to take whatever they think he deserves as long as they take the same deal in a rematch, and that's only if wilder wins. So what more does he have to do....even better, what do they consider fair???

This is all a bs plot to give the wilder is unreasonable excuse as Hearn moves Joshua to HBO. He'll fight miller, Whyte again, and maybe povetkin. All the while claiming wilder is unreasonable. Then the excuse will be the network. We're not gonna see this fight until people stop acting like Joshua selling out a stadium means more than being the undisputed champ. But it's gonna be interesting to hear the anti wilder crowd complain about his competition while excusing Joshua for not getting in the ring with him.
