Why are Americans making out Golovkin vs Jacobs is competetive?

Jacobs just isn't that good, even guys like Saunders would beat him.

Golovkin is the superior fighter in every single aspect.

But if you were to listen to Americans, you would think Jacobs was this great fighter who is the clear #2 in the division, pushing for #1 instead of like number 5 or 6 and not very good.

Golovkin started camp earlier than he usually does and even did a mini camp in November/December with the Jacobs fight not signed yet. He is taking it very serious.

No matter if you rank Jacobs high or low the concensus is he is likely the best guy Lil g has gone into the ring against since the amateurs.
