  • What year did HBO sit GGG & Ward down for the meeting?

The meeting where Golovkin said "Yes" and Ward said "No" because he had a shoulder injury?

From what I've found it seems it was likely early 2013.
Here GGG after Proksa saying yes to fight Ward: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2012/09...ht-andre-ward/(Remove the space)
    Ward has shoulder injury: http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/...vlik-fight-off

Here's an article after Rosado-GGG saying Golovkin wants to fight Ward as soon as his shoulder is healed: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2013/01...-ward-in-2013/(remove the space)

In 2013 although Ward did do some talking about Golovkin, he viewed him as an opponent "down the road" and was more focused on rematches with Froch or Kessler, fights that really had no chance of happening outside of each guys respective hometowns, Ward fights Rodriguez.

By 2014 we have this: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2014/10...ng-andre-ward/(remove the space)

Cotto and Canelo have come onto the scene as possible opponents for Golovkin, if not Froch, Ward is irrelevant as hell and from whatever part of the world Ward is at, he's managing to have his lawyer send letters to HBO saying he wants to fight Golovkin, Ward didn't fight at all in 2014 btw.

Basically if this is true, Golovkin was willing to fight Ward when he was at the top of the mountain. But now is supposedly ducking him.

Do you think people don't know the story or something? You can only fool people who are ignorant.

Team GGG used Ward's name, Ward called their bluff and said lets fight, they came back with "But but but financials doe!"

Let it go, Golovkin fans. Your boy didn't want the fight and boxing moves on.

They called their bluff in 2014? Ward didn't make his comeback till a year later, vs bum Smith with more tuneups in mind. Even his famous "offer" to GGG included intermediate tuneups

Yep that should be the time frame. GGG gave that interview to allboxing.ru where he talked about that HBO meeting, in his native language he speaks way differently. Gennady can be pretty serious.

Ward never denied the meeting with HBO and that GGG said Yes to a fight while Ward himself had excuses and said No, Ward of course never even mentions this meeting in hopes people forget about it or never hear the truth.

After Ward didn't even respond to that approach from GGG back then, and when K2 put out that 164 talk this year, Ward didnt even try to negotiate or make a counteroffer (Hey lets do it at 166 pounds and I take 45% etc).

Why is that, why did Ward keep totally silent when K2 and HBO showed interest in making the fight happen?

The only time Ward actually did anything, was when he sent that "hoax offer" exactly one hour after Lemieux vs GGG was officially announced and signed. Thats so ridiculous how he acted like he didnt know about that in the interview.

Anyone who believes Ward ever wanted to face GGG needs to check the facts.

Strange that every legit media outlet feels that GGG avoided Ward, yet the Golovkin damage control crew does everything possible to manipulate people into thinking GGG actually wants Ward. They know they're not fooling anyone so it's a bizarre NSB circle jerk where they tell normal boxing fans to stop talking about it, but they yank each other off in these little threads.

Dont bother with this guy. He reminds me of my ex. Totally stubborn and ignoring whatever doesn't suit her. Whoever spends that much time on NSB cant really tell the difference between reality and wishful thinking.

                    Fighthype and Dontaes Boxing Nation?

You think the HBO meeting where Ward said No to fight GGG didnt happen?
