Cooper was a decent fighter with a good punch no more!
The Ali incident is what brought him the fame and fortune, he caught Ali and like in any Heavyweight fight if you land you have a chance.
There was all the controversy over the time he was down and a split to the glove to allow Ali to recover more, the reality is Ali then took Cooper apart and he cut up so easily it was like a bloodbath.
Good at the time for a British heavyweight but he lost 14 times in 40 fights, including twice to Ali and once to Floyd Patterson, he fought the likes of Brian London and Joe Bygraves two or three times each, no great shakes!
