Who has the better resume De La Hoya or Marquez?
Oscar has big names on his resume but he lost "most" of his big fights but he has won in more weight divisions. Who would you say and why?

Marquez has the better resume to me. I think he fought more high quality fighters in their prime than Oscar and he did better against them. Marquez has only one clear loss and that was his fight with Mayweather. I thought he clearly beat Norwood and beat John too. His two losses to the great Pacquiao could have gone either way. Oscar fought lots of big names but often they were past prime. Oscar also fought his share of unworthy challengers when he was champ. Oscar was KOed twice. Once by quiting and once by staying down when I believe he could have gotten up. Marquez has never been stopped and he would never quit. Pound for pound he is a better fighter than Oscar in my opinion.

If you are going by resume, then gotta go with De La Hoya. He has too many HOF/ATG's on his resume. Granted DLH got a few gift decisions, but that resume is strong.

Marquez resume sucks compared to Oscar. JMMs legacy IS Pacquiao.

De La Hoya and unfortunately Marquez can not catch up at this point.
Pacquiao and Barrera are the greats that Marquez has on his resume.
De La Hoya has Whitaker 40-1 top 10 P4P at the time/hadn't lost in almost a decade, and Chavez [96-1].
The good fighters that DLH has beaten are also better than the good fighters Marquez has beaten, and definitely beat them in high quantity.
Camacho, Hernandez, Quartey, Trinidad, Vargas, Leija, Ruelas, Molina, Rivera, Carr, Mayorga, Gatti, Campas.
Casamayor, Diaz 2x, Katsidis, John, Juarez, Polo, Salido, Gainer, Peden, Medina, Norwood.
