Default Anyone else swims for cardio?

My summer vacation ends tomorrow, and since my school starts and the temperature got cooler than before, im going to start running to school (my school has a shower, don't worry lol). Anyways, I recently joined a gym and I usually swim for 30~45 minutes after my weightlifting. I usually do breaststrokes, and not much of the front crawl because I want to hit my chest. If I'm going to increase my stamina, should I do front crawls instead?

Just mix it up, whatever your comfortable with and can keep up a steady pace. It's not one style of swimming that will increase your stamina.
