  • Comments Thread For: Alexander-Bradley, Spinks-Angulo Double in The Works

BoxingScene.com has been advised by promoter Gary Shaw, that if IBF junior middleweight champion Cory Spinks successfully defends his title against Cornelius Bundrage on the Devon Alexander-Andriy Kotelnik undercard on Saturday night, there is a good chance that he will face Alfredo "Perro" Angulo on January 29 as the HBO televised co-feature to the junior welterweight unification between Devon Alexander and Tim Bradley. I was just saying that Angulo should fight Spinks for the IBF strap.

          Good double header.

Id much rather prefer Pirog-Angulo for a title. Spinks is borderline done as a fighter. Angulo will KO him.

Absolutely brilliant to place this card in late January. So much going on with the Vegas books and patrons preparing for the SuperBowl, and Jan. 29th is the off Sat b/w the last playoff game some 6 days prior and 8 days preceding SB Sunday. Mosley and GBP pretty much set the blueprint for this niche date 2 yrs ago vs. Plaster of Tijuana. And with Don King associated up n down on this card, it will be a throwback to some of those mega events back in the 80's, early 90's. Just the shot in the arm our waffling sport needs at the mo.

this is exactly what I said they should do and it would sell 20,000+ tickets easy in St. Louis.
