no.

resistance training dosnt increase your heart rate so most of the calories you burn come straight from your fat but you can just walk for cardio and just as well you wont increase your heart rate and most of the calores you burn are from fat.

so an hour of resistance training might burn 400 calories where as 6 miles or an hour of cardio might burn 1000 calories. of the 400 calories burned during the resistance training maybe 350 came from fat where as of the 1000 calories burned during cardio might have only burned 100 calories from fat.

I think it's best, when used in combination with underwater training, working the jab and cross, or running sprints with the parachute..Work that jab/cross underwater with picture perfect technique until muscular fatigue, rest awhile and then finish out the day with about 5-600 jab/crosses with both heavy resistance bands( use textbook technique )
