  • Comments Thread For: Hatton: Martinez Can Beat Mayweather, But Not Murray

Promoter Ricky Hatton agrees with WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs), who believes he is the only fighter capable of beating Floyd Mayweather Jr. [among the realistic possibilities]. While he praises the skill of Martinez, Hatton doesn't expect him to make it to Mayweather. One of Hatton's best fighters, WBA interim-champion Martin Murray (25-0-1, 11KOs), will challenge Martinez on Apri 27th in Argentina. Hatton is confident his fighter will send the 27-year-old Martinez into retirement.

Even other fighters are pushing for Martinez and Floyd to get down. It's a great fight.
