Honestly there was no need for this thread. The fact that the Vietcong were trained for guirella warfare, coupled with the fact that the US were fighting in unknown terrain, and that the Vietcong knew it like the back of their hands along with the Ho Chi Minh trail being operated makes Ira seem like childs play.

because of the tropical conditions, trench feet was pervasive, and lets not forget about malaria, and deadly parasites that claimed countless lives. I would much rather fight in a dry terrain then a wet marsh.

Vietnam not contest.

Air power is negligible in that terrain.
The NV were very well armed.
The NV we superbly trained troops.

The Iraqi`s had none of the above advantages. The arabs do not make good soilders.
