MLK was a greater leader and to say that Malcom fought the establishment every step of the way and MLK didn't is ignorant.

MLK just did it with non violence, the same as Ghandi. You don't have to put your fist through something to get your point across, sometimes words and other actions can be more powerful. It's much easier to strike out at your enemies, it's much tougher to show love towards the people that hate you. That is a tenant in Christianity and MLK followed that philosophy.

Malcom X was a great leader but his influence was more withing the black community. MLK was viewed as someone who single handedly put the civil rights movement into effect. He changed the way legislation was written for the rights of blacks in America and was recognized for that around the world.

Malcom X was more of a militant leader who was assassinated by the same people he once was loyal to. MLK was assassinated by the white establishment that hated him for what he was doing.

MLK > Malcom X and it's not even close......

Well I'm not saying Malcom X wasn't great but you CAN argue who made a bigger more lasting impact for the rights of African Americans and it was MLK.
