Would Quillin vs Jacobs and Bradley vs Rios be Big Headliners if the Cold War Didn't

....exist. I look at these fighters as guys who benefit from the cold war. The best fighters in their division are with the opposing promotional entity. Quillin and Jacaobs seem to love the promotional beef too much.

Bradley and Rios do not have to fight Thurman, Porter, Maidana, etc.

Quillin and Jacobs do not have to fight GGG and Cotto.

So each of these guys can parade around as "network champions" without ever fighting the best in their division.

In a world of no promotional beefs would these still be acceptable, appealing world championship fights?

You add that Lou DiBella, nearly two months out from the event, is building a pretty darn good supporting card for the show (Shafikov-Barthelemy, Cuellar-Oquendo, Long Island-based Chris Algieri, Brooklyn-based Heather "The Heat" Hardy, and likely another 3-4 fights featuring local talent) and the event would've been a massive show, with or without the 'Cold War'.

Timothy Bradley is a quality human being, but Bradley vs Rios is literally a nothing fight, without real rhyme or reason from what I can see. Beyond that, in typical Top Rank fashion, the undercard, so far, is being filled with nothing fights.

Rios stays headlining. Rios was going to headline in England until Scary @$$ brook ducked him.

Don't know about Jacobs, but Quillin does benefit from it by using it as an excuse.

As for Bradley and Rios, no, there's zero benefit from it. These guys will fight anyone in their division. They can take loses. If you're saying they'll benefit from not taking certain loses as soon as they're paired with Haymon fighters, who are you, God? You can predict fights?

Honest question do you work for Al Haymon? You did the same **** with the Mayweather vs Berto "spectacle", selling those fights like your life depended on it. Quillin vs Jacobs is barely an ok fight, both guys have been somewhat exposed, they are fighting at a catchweight, and neither really have a future at 160.

The Mayweather-Berto card, as far as the actual fight card went, delivered in spades, with Mayweather-Berto actually being an entertaining fight. Not my fault that I was right.

You can simply look at the fight sheet, so far with another two months to go, and understand that it's being set up to deliver:

If Jacobs-Quillin is only an "ok fight", what the heck do you call any other middleweight fight? In case you missed it, Golovkin's next fight can be bet anywhere from 14:1 to 20:1, and HBO is charging you $60 to watch it in HD.

Jacobs-Quillin is a 50/50 fight (doubt that the odds get longer longer than 2:1 either way), the undercard fights actually matter, and the show is available to you for the cost of you paying your Showtime subscription for the month.

Would ask if you worked for HBO/Top Rank, but that'd be a waste of my time.

For actual fights fans, December 5th is already shaping up to be a great night; hate if you want.

Not sure about big headliners, but then not sure that's what they are now. Both would be premium cable headliners. You got the 2 best US MWs, both rep BK, above average punch. The other guys featured on big time PPV (3x Pac, 1x JMM) and both been involved in FOTY type bouts.
