Positive thought of the day...
1) Ok aliens are likely to exist , life came about on earth , it is very likely they can come about on the many other planets in the rest of the universe, the chances of life occurring only once in the whole universe would mean its such a rare event that it is almost stupid to think that way, to think we are that special and that fluky, that seems to anyone with half a brain to be extremely unlikely. Like everything in the universe when we look out we see repeats, we see many suns many planets many planets with gas many planets made with rock, asteroids black holes hydrogen, its the same **** everywhere, its uniform there will also be many planets with life to go along with this uniform pattern ,its just impossible to detect right now because its hard to see life and easy to see a giant star or detect a huge planet .
So 1st step you accept alien life is real, because you are reasonable and rational and have no good counter arguments backed by logic.
2nd step life everywhere probably comes about via evolution its the only way simple chemicals can become super complex organisms all from just dead matter. Again it happened here its probably predictable elsewhere, just like the formation of planets and stars is the same everywhere its also probably the same for life (my original thought by the way seeing that the universe repeats itself its the same things happening all over it, it very much a repeat pattern everywhere, same objects same processes all over everywhere )
3rd step predators are likely to become intelligent like they are on earth because their evolutionary role is more difficult than a herbivores, (humans are part predator, most intelligent life on earth is fully or part predator) and there's so many planets and probably so much life, and so much uniformity that it is also likely that vegetation predators and prey carnivore and herbivores exist in a similar way on many other planets
4) Carnivores and predators are likely to have to have a pleasure reward mechanism for killing eating and making the prey suffer in pain. Just like predators do on earth, which includes humans .
5) Some of these predators that become intelligent wont have evolved empathy (like most reptiles here on earth, or human psychopaths or squid etc)
6) Since these predators are intelligent and low empathy and have a big enjoyment and thirst to make things suffer and die they could have devised the most advanced and potent torturing methods that is it possible to make, that makes our worst methods look feeble in comparison, they could have engineered genetically their prey to be able to feel incredible amounts of pain too and to never die(overcome the aging process).
7 They could in essence create a real hell, or something much worse than hell since burning forever is not as painful as what they can invent with genetic engineering and their high tech torturing methods (thousands or millions of years more advanced than us perhaps, at torturing methods)
8) They could enjoy this great pleasure and suffering like we enjoy eating food ie all the time as if it were nothing benign enjoyment to them since they didn't evolve empathy only sadism.
9) Since there are so many planets and the universe is so large that even if life could only develop on earth like planets that there would still be uncountable numbers of different alien species and so some of them are probably doing what I talk about as we speak. Some poor prey animals are getting tortured in ways so horrible we cant even imagine the severity of the pain.
10) Since we are dealing with aliens so much more advanced than us, and so different in many ways reality could be so much worse than what ive just written because perhaps I cannot comprehend how bad things can get from such a low point of intelligence relative to what alien life could be operating at. Also maybe it is significantly different and I cant fathom how bad it can be in a different way not known about from an isolated earth organisms perspective.
