The fight is happening, despite what cancer the Hearn/AJ crew spout about it.

Second, it isn't ticket sales they are trying to affect. This is Fury and Wilder claiming an even more coveted belt. By announcing their fight the week of AJ's, they automatically win the Pettyweight Championship of the world by stealing a bunch of media attention from a guy who has jerked them around in the past.

All the announcement serves to do is to officially open up the media hype season.
When you look at it that way, this week is the best time to do it since there will definitely be some attention on AJ. It's a free way to hype the fight as you know every other question will be about Wilder or Fury or Wilder vs Fury.
A no brainer really...

If Wilder and Fury think they are the draws, why announce it this week? Because both are the B side.

Both men have been jerked around by Hearn.
What better thing to do than steal thunder from his golden goose and hype their own fight at the same time?

I sure hope so. WOrd was they were going to announce this week but all I heard was Floyd/Manny 2 talk. Unless Wilder/Fury is on the Floyd/Manny undercard, I don't see how Haymon does both on PPV in December.
Unless they put Wilder/Fury on Fox and they get a HUGE payment to do so..
