Carl Froch has been forced to postpone his Super Six clash with Arthur Abraham due to a back problem.
The semi-final contest was scheduled for October 2 in Monaco but Froch, who lost for the first time to Mikkel Kessler in April, suffered a back injury last Friday.
Froch's promoters Hennessy Sports confirmed that the Nottingham fighter has been told to rest completely for three weeks by his physiotherapist.
Hennessy Sports, organisers and broadcasters Showtime and Abraham's team Sauerland Events are working on new dates, with the intention of rescheduling the fight for November or December.
However, that will depend on the availability of the venue in Monte Carlo as well as TV dates in Germany and the United States.
The news is the latest in a line of blows for the Super Six tournament, with Jermain Taylor withdrawing after just one fight before Kessler's recent pull-out due to a long-term eye injury.

So stfu you big-nosed euro bum. The only reason he's mad is because this only prolongues the beating Ward is going to give him.
