"Aliens" could be anything from single cell organisms frozen in ice on something 2 billion years ago...so yes to that extent.

Do they visit people in Arkansas to put rods in hillfolk butts and mutilate cattle? No.

The alien abduction stories are so laughably stupid. When aliens were depicted as men in silver suits in the 40s and 50s, people would get abducted by aliens in silver suits. When comics and movies started depicting aliens in as Star Trek type bipeds, people were getting abducted by Star Trek mask bipeds. When the "Communion" alien became the cliche "alien" now people are being abducted by "Communion" aliens. The abductions are crap.

Now a ship crashing here or realizing this might be the only planet with some type of resource they need, that would be more likely, but still pretty much a statistical impossibility.
