Robinson's forte was hitting you with accurate blind punches from unorthodox angles (especially blindsiding the opponent with that double/triple left hook from the waist). Robinson himself claimed he was not a big puncher.

Ray had ridiculous speed and this combined with his accuracy + the angles at which he threw his punches made him a feared puncher, you couldnt see his shots coming

he had incredible control over his muscles. Barrera and Roy Jones throw the same kind of punches, they wip them in a relaxed state.

It takes years of practice and good genetic make up. A lot of people are to stiff to be capable of doing that. Aka look at the UFC.

It could come as a leador after a right hand, or after a hook to the body or after a jab. Either way Robinson didnt throw the hook to set up other punchers or to keep you off him. He threw it to knock you out.

The speed of that left hook phenomenal.

It was the magic of Sugar Ray Robinson, the greatest.

                      Kinetic Linking.
Salty Gay Robinson, if you look at his KO of Fullmer, the force begins right from his feet upwards trough all his joints, then finally on the lads chin.
