  • Who Wins: Manny Pacquiao vs. Andre Berto at 147 lbs.

pacquiao has yet to face a full pledge welterweight boxer who can stay on par with pacquiao's ferociousness in the ring. pacquiao's last few performances have been less than stellar because of opponents who back off and box on the back foot after tasting pacquiao's power.

andre berto would be a whole different class of animal in the ring. he has the power to hurt pacquiao and a killer uppercut that ends fights. however, berto's average footwork and handspeed equipped with above average power is not enough to derail pacquiao. he would use the same tactics ortiz showed during the ortiz-berto fight, aggressive non stop pressure but with much better speed and accuracy which will prove too much for berto.

pacquiao wins by KO in the late rounds.

Andre Berto is a dumb, one dimensional fighter with no defense. On top of that, he has stamina problems. Pac would kick his ass badly.

Berto is a good fighter. Not great, he has stamina issue's is quite open to name but two of his problems. Good fighter non the less.

Pacquaio may not be the perfect fighter, i dont really like him and i certainly dont like the way his career has been handled these last few years but he would merk Berto who as i stated is a good fighter. The fight wouldn't be well recieved though, Manny will get hated on for fighting nearly anybody not named Mayweather which might be a little harsh but im not so sure its a bad thing tbh

Berto has a history of having difficulty fighting south paws. Colllazo and Ortiz gave him a lot of trouble. He's susceptible to straight left hands...which is Manny's money punch. It's also the one punch that Manny is still able to throw pretty well. IMO, Manny would overwhelm Berto and stop him in the late rounds.

                    Agreed.

Pac wins handily by KO I'd say no later than the 8th round. Berto would land some good right hands but Pac would be too much for him.

Berto showed a lot of heart against Ortiz. He finished the fight despite being on wobbly legs since the first round, and almost managed to win by KO in the 6th I think.
