  • Why was Margarito considered a hard puncher and Mayweather feather fisted?

Both have 27 ko's and both have similar ko percentages..... so why??

Because they both reside at welter/light-middle, where Mayweather has very few KO's, while Margarito has plenty.

Margacheato got most of those KO's through plaster wraps.

i dont remember anyone calling margarito a hard puncher, maybe big volume puncher but never a ko artist or anything like that. and floyd well not surprised people called him feather fisted.

The question OP is asking why some people consider Mayweather feather-fisted when he has same number of KO's as Margarito.
When you look at his record most of his KO's are at the lower weight classes. Since he came to 147, we rarely see even a knockdown.
That is the reason he's not considered as powerful as Margarito despite having almost the same KO %.

Cuz Floyd can only KO by cheap shot or vs a non boxer. Marg even tho he cheated hits harder at that weight class

Because Margarito opponents would run from him while Mayweather would run from his opponents

"Homeboys" can't punch. It's not in their genetics.
