  • Fighters with little or no amateur career?

Which fighters have had very little or no amateur career and went on to be good or great in boxing?

Was just watching an interview with Dwight Muhammad Qawi in which he stated he had no amateur fights. He went on to be a hall of famer which is pretty cool considering.

I know Tevin Farmer is also a good prospect with only 13 amateur fights. Granted he's got a couple of losses but some say that's attributed to bad management in the beginning of his career.

Anyone else you guys know of?

Here is a thread on 'boxers who started at a late age'

I imagine there will be some overlap.

Conela, like many mexican boxers, turned pro at 15 (hence his lovely pro style). He is a ducking pu5sy though.

Lucas Brown was a bouncer/street fighter with no amateur fights.

I think Hopkins and Adonis Stevenson learnt boxing in jail?

      Wilder, Foreman, Jason Sosa.
