Default Doing push-ups on bare knuckle, is this a good punishment?

Im a coach/trainer/cornerman. Making disobedient students do push-ups bare knuckle, is that an overreactive punishment?

I make my own kids do it, is it overreating for some1 thats not my own?

I make the Bball team i coach do jump squats and sit in a chair for 2 mins. And i call that warming up. I do consider my boxers to be far beyond them though...

you should always do them this way (on knuckles) because its harder and good for forearm stability and strength.
i do 2sets of 100 each day. you should also combine clap pushups finger pushups one arm pushups... those are all good variations
