Per the boxingscene article posted in this thread:

"December 22nd in the United Kingdom is the date locked in for Whyte’s ring return and a rematch against Dereck Chisora is currently beginning negotiated but a fight against Ortiz would be a match up that many fans would like to see."

If I'm Dillian Whyte and you tell me if I want to fight Wilder all I have to do is fight Ortiz, there's no way I'm going through with a fight with Chisora. Especially when no one even asked for the rematch to begin with.

Did Ortiz offered Whyte a fight contract like Whyte did with Wilder? Before throwing accusations around you need to think. There was so many reasons this fight never took off, WBC wanted the fight as a secondary mandatory (Another way to protect their champ in Wilder), Whyte wasn’t happy with that, Ortiz doesn’t really care at that point as he was already KO’ed by Wilder.

Ortiz was more than happy fighting on an undercard rather than headline his own card, last minute called for the fight when still the WBC would only sanctioned it as a secondary mandatory. You either don’t follow boxing or you DKSAB if you keep on thinking the WBC wanted that fight as a straight up mandatory.

The WBC current rulings shows you how far they would go to keep Whyte away from Wilder. You can’t be a boxing fan if you fail to see that corruption.

Yes he unquestionably ducked Ortiz. The WBC ordered them to fight in a final eliminator and Whyte rejected it.

He also rejected an IBF final eliminator against Pulev.

Whyte is a FRAUD...

Plenty of people were calling for a rematch between Whyte and Chisora, and Whyte would not have become the WBC mandatory by beating Ortiz. He would have become second mandatory, which is something else altogether. Breazeale had already been bumped into the mando position over his head.

Ortiz had already turned down a great offer to fight Whyte. If Dillian had swerved the Chisora rematch, Ortiz would have found some excuse not to fight him again.

Whyte got no balls.

There was no need for anybody to offer anything. The WBC ordered Whyte and Ortiz to fight each other in a final eliminator. Ortiz said yes. Whyte said no. Period. There's no way to spin it.

No, there was only one reason. Whyte refused to participate. Anything else is an excuse. Send it to purse bid. Ortiz was willing. Whyte wasn't.

Whyte is the second mandatory RIGHT NOW. All that *****ing and moaning and whining and crying about being the division's second mandatory and in the end he's the second mandatory anyway.
