I completely agree. What is a fighter supposed to do though? It's not any individual fighter's fault...they want the titles and ranking that comes with it.

Those guys suck and you using them to defend Canelos recent resume is laughable.

Canelo has, literally, the best resume in boxing today. Literally, the single best resume in boxing. Like there isn't anyone that is remotely close. Not Lomachenko (who lost to GOAT/ATG Salido), not Usyk (although he could be on his way if he keeps it going), not Mikey, literally nobody.

Canelo has the single best resume in boxing today.

His recent resume is the #1 ranked MW in the world in Gennady Golovkin. Canelo fought him and was robbed into a draw before being suspended for a year...had surgery on his knee...no tune-up fight...and beat the crap out of LLL in their eventual rematch.

Before that was a money fight with JCC Jr (weak, but it was a Mexican thing, sure), Liam Smith (Canelo was already the #1 JMW in the world fighting an up and coming JMW fellow champion...not the best fight for a Top 10 PFP fighter, but a good fight nonetheless), Amir Khan (horrible fight by any standards), and Miguel Cotto (ATG/HOF/Top 5 PR ever for new belt and new weight class).

Gennady was literally favored in both fights against Canelo and that "scrub" didn't want to fight Canelo earlier in his career...

...and Cotto was close to 50/50 odds...he was coming off a KO of Geale (in similar fashion to Gennady) and a stunning upset/KO of Sergio. Cotto was a major underdog against Sergio and he surprised many, many, many people (including 75% of this board - and I can prove that if you conveniently forget). In hindsight it made sense that Cotto/Roach saw the signs, but it was a great win.

those guys are night and day

Canelo (and Ward) are the kind of fighters you guys all thought Golovkin was

they LITERALLY showed Golovkin how to behave like a champion..... but Golovkin said, meh
actually you proved nothing. You mentioned Canelo vs lara and that was over 4 yrs ago. So again, in the past 4 yrs, what has impressed you about Canelo? And you can't use ggg because you said he's all hype. So getting a generous decision against him and getting a draw (in a fight he really lost) is actually not an impressive thing for Canelo in your eyes. You comparing Canelo to ward is pathetic. Ward took on the best with hardly any delay, he didn't wait fights out and the 1 time he got a disputed decision, he took an immediate rematch and finished his opponent. Canelo never looked back when he got a controversial win vs lara, he didn't convince anyone that he's really better than ggg in the rematch (other than his desperate fan base) and btw, ward never tested positive for peds. Weak comparison on your part.

you started off fine but lost all credibility by saying Canelo was robbed of a win in his first fight with ggg and "beat his ass" in the rematch. Ggg was the one who was robbed in the first fight and in the rematch, the majority who scored the fight in the ringside press section still didn't have Canelo winning. And for the record, an ass beating occurred in fights like mayweather vs Gatti, or hearns vs duran, Roy Jones vs pazienza. Canelo squeaking out a generous decision on the judges scorecards by 1 round is not an ass beating. You exposed yourself as a fan boy with those 2 comments.

well he was supposed to be this devastating killer.....

but he got dished up by a smaller guy in his first fight at middleweight

so yea, pretty sure that hype is the correct term for that

you are whining that Canelo gets close wins, but ignoring the fact that Bullshltkin will not even take those kind of fights

pretty sure that ' ignorant ' is the correct term for that as well

Those were ass beatings. So is this:

I've already posted sources that the 2nd fight was clear.

1st fight - best case scenario for GGG was a DRAW

2nd fight - best case scenario for GGG was a DRAW

Canelo is not good at separating himself. That's why his fights with Trout, Lara, Cotto, and both fights with GGG were close. It's similar to Danny Garcia...if Canelo cant blast you out - he will eek a decision because of his style.

And by the way Canelo was the power puncher in both fights. He landed more power punches despite throwing more than 100 LESS power shots in BOTH fights. And it is VERY clear whose punches actually hurt..as Canelo was hurt before by little Floyd (marked up) and JMW Lara (marked up) whereas in 24 rounds with Gee...Canelo was just ready for the bar XD XD XD

nah you can't have it both ways. If ggg is all hype then Canelo is even more so. He's the biggest name in the sport and in the eyes of most, he lost to the hype job, twice. If Canelo was as good as his legions of idiot fans think he is he should've dominated ggg and he should've been able to stop little old cotto. He couldn't do either. He is good enough to remain competitive with the hype job which gives judges just enough reason to help him out on the scorecards.

those actually are 100% opinions. Aren't you 60 yrs old? You're really this pathetic of a fan boy at 60 and still don't know the difference between opinions and facts? Smh.

They all want Canelo. These clowns.
The Mexican superstar can only fight one fighter at a time.
And he's fighting fellow GBP Lemieux next.
Why don't you, Charlo, Jacobs, Derevyanchenko fight each other and make a name for yourselves, instead of leeching off on someone's popularity?
