I don't know how Foreman ever wins a round against Fury. Even the one who finally learned self-control.

If Wlad and Wilder looked bad. Foreman will look like garbage. The fights with Morrison and Moorer will look Robinson-eque.

Over the years there has come to be a notion that because Foreman won a championship at an advanced age, that his second coming was a legitimate facsimile of Big George. Foreman did do something amazing when he caught Moore and there is truth that because of his size it was hard to get to Foreman.

BUT this version of George is not comparative to the man who will be judged at his best as a prize fighter!

Meanwhile no matter how talented Fury is, we are yet to see the pinnacle of the Gypsy King. History has a way of gently incorporating a great fighter's warts and all... all the while, Putting their victories in perspective, and helping us understand how good the guys they bested were etc.

So, with that in mind...If Wilder gets sluced by the Old Cuban for example, does it change how we will view Fury down the road? When Mike Tyson first started his run there were people who were saying he was the best ever! Then he ran into some problems.

Fury is in a marathon not a foot race... There will be plenty of time to compare his career to big George when we know more down the line.

- -The 42 yr old George that emasculated young Field on a Ko streak and could still move some would do the same to Fury no matter the political decision.

He did the same thing to Mike Tyson without even needing to fight him and forced Ali into turning down their mega$ rematch in Indonesia for some peanut defenses.

Ali, Mike, Field were never the same nor would be fury.

Foreman for sure. In the 90s he was fighting much better competition than Fury is. Guys like Wilder and Wlad (old Wlad too) are not very good and just beat mediocre heavyweights because nobody was around. Vitali was considerably better than Wlad and even he I think would have been just a good contender in the mix during the 90s, but not the best. Wlad would have been sparked by most of the guys George was fighting.

Is this a joke?

I remember George's comeback. while in retrospect it's easy to appreciate the accomplishment, it definitely had the feel of a circus sideshow. George's competition was carefully chosen. His celebrity ensured he could pick who he wanted.

There's nothing really exceptional about his competition: the fights w/ Qawi, Cooper and Cooney were travesties that should have never been made. They make Hopkins-Jones II forgivable.

His come-from-behind win against Moorer... but that's exactly what it was, a KO win to salvage a fight he was losing to Michael Moorer.

He lost to Tommy Morrison.

And didn't win a round against Holyfield.

So tell me, where are all these talented opponents that you're talking about? He finally tamed his wild side. But everyone know that his return wouldn't have lasted long if he'd attempted the brawling style of the 70's.

And yet we're to believe he beats the finest pure-boxer (and much bigger man) that the Heavyweight division has ever seen. enjoy that joint, bro.

Let's see your scorecard.

Seriously, you run your mouth all the time. Let's see you step up and substatiate that filth your spew.

I remember that fight. George exceeded expectations and many of Holyfield's other opponents. But he definitely didn't emasculate Holyfied... he was too busy getting his ass kicked.
