the ring belt is literally owned by oscar de la hoya. if you consider that the most important, you know absolutely nothing about boxing.

Joshua is the current champion as far as I am concerned. Tyson has the most legitimate claim but has been out of the ring so long and gained so much weight that he's essentially retired.

Because Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua are Showtime fighters. Since Oscar owns the ring belt, he changes or ignores the rules of a lineal title to benefit HBO whenever possible and damage Showtime whenever possible.

Tyson Fury publicly announced his retirement. If the ring title was a lineal title, it would have become vacant when Fury retired. That is how lineal titles work. The ring title is the Oscar De La Hoya title that has nothing to do with lineal.

Same reason Ward/Kovalev is for the ring title. Benefits HBO. Screws Showtime. Even though Stevenson is clearly the lineal champion.

The ring title is a propaganda tool, nothing more. The second the ring title was purchased by a promoter was the second you should have stopped respecting it.

You're aware why it was taken from Adonis no ? He's lineal not Ring, until beaten he'll remain lineal.

Furry is lineal champ and Ring champ, he hasn't retired he's just facing charges for cheating hence why I refuse to acknowledge he's the the lineal champ, the Ring belt will be removed through inactivity or his confirmed guilt when his tribunal finally comes to an end, upon showing he unfairly cheated Klitschko and Joshua should be bestowed the title due to him having beat him.

So in that regard, Fury beat Klitschko fairly.

But Deontay has the most important belt, he's the longest reigning champion and he's undefeated. There is no concrete answer between Denotay and Joshua. They have to fight each other.
Yes there is and you know what the answer is too.

It's still Fury. If he doesn't come back within the next few months like he said, the title goes to AJ.

Its not a slut belt like the IBF or WBA that gets passed or bought - you really have to beat a champion to get it and its lineage is mint from greats holding it : whereas the IBF or WBO just became recognized yesterday #BOMBZQUAD

ask joshua's promoter. he's the one who has publicly stated the WBC is the most prestigious belt.

it was taken from adonis because HBO wanted it taken from adonis. and some nonsense rule was invented about facing a "top 5" contender from ANY division (to protect canelo so he could continue to fight junior middleweights for the middleweight title). how much more obvious could it be?

Furry is lineal champ and Ring champ, he hasn't retired
he publicly declared his retirement. the second he did that, the lineal title became vacant.
