I dont mind a Canelo Trout match, but i would rather see Canelo vs Cotto which will be a much more exciting match. Cotto Vs Trout was just a bad style match up for Cotto. Canelo will be there in exchanges and add the MEX Vs PR rivalry, it'll be a classic. But Whoever it is of those two im ok with.

In the next year or so, they will start matching him against the best fighters and we will all get the fights we want. In the mean time, why not feed him Cotto. Cotto may not be able to beat Alvarez, but he sure can teach that kid a few things.
The thing is, all the other good MW's are fighting each other. Rosado is moving up to fight Golovkin, Lara vs. Vanes, Trout just beat Cotto. Molina has faced everyone. These guys are going through the gauntlet, where Canelo is allowed to defend his title against senior citizens, journeymen, bloated 140 lbers. If he faces Cotto that will be a guy coming off 2 straight losses. At the same time he's a champion and getting P4P consideration for some reason. He's got skills, no doubt about that. But he has to start proving himself.

I don't think he's going to fight these guys. They will try hard to get him Cotto, and then Mayweather, and if no Mayweather then Angulo.

This might be a closer fight than say Trout vs Cotto.

You know when to spot Cotto having trouble fighting Trout. When Cotto try to fight off his back foot. Cotto is not good at that. He does some bouncing but not all that effective. And Cotto is BAD against Southpaw as he does not have a good straight right. This is not a secret and his right hand power at this weight is probably a non-factor at this point.

BUT Canelo is not that fast. But has GOOD power.

In terms of relative speed, Cotto can probably get inside and land some decent jabs and body shots. The key would be how well does Canelo's chin hold up that power. Canelo can counter with HIS left hook which is his good punch. There will be some trading.

Who gasses at the end? Hmmm........

If Cotto fights off his back foot against Canelo....no bueno.....

The difference is that Trout fought David Lopez and Delvin Rodriguez before the fight against Cotto. Both are real 154 fighters, and he made both fights look easy.

I will probably be a fun fight to watch, but Canelo would mess him up in the end.

It would still be the best guy Canelo has ever fought, even coming off the two loses. Obvious not what people are looking for from Canelo in the challenge department but it is kind of a step in the right direction.

This is a disgrace. Ortiz loses but Canelo fights Lopez but Cotto loses and Canelo wants to fight Cotto instead of Trout? How can anyone support Canelo as a legit 154 title holder? He's a cash machine for Golden Boy because he is a red headed Mexican. They think if he lost then his stock would go down but if he fought the best win or lose in a competitive way then people will love him more. Boxing is a funny sport. Score card robberies, bitter and corrupt promoters, fighters want to cash in without fighting the best. It's ridiculous.

Nobody can. He won his belt against a WW and made more defenses against people who aren't JMW's than people who are

is it me or will Carlos Molina fock Canelo, Cotto and possibly Floyd up?

Carlos can move man.....u might see two most avoided fighters at the division fighting each other for the legit titleholder. LOL
