  • Puerto rico vs Mexico

your Favorite fights, backgraund of a fight etc

My is Cotto-Maragrito1-not the best fight in terms of level of boxing in this great rivalry, but it had controversies and have its begining -contents-ending like good novel and with conclusion at the end, also i saw it live.Cotto career could be much diffrent if he would won that night,in the other hand it let Margarito make milions fighting Mosley and Pacman.

my 2nd is Sanchez KOing Gomez.

greatest win of the ongoing "war"
a 23 year old Sanchez who had no amateur experience (like most Mexican fighters) taking apart and stopping an ATG in Gomez

    side note
shame we never got to see the Eagle go up against Chavez and Whitaker

My favorite pr-mex fights... That I watched live..

Chavez-Camacho... Pretty lopsided fight, but epic matchup nonetheless

Tito-vargas. One of the best fights this century

Cotto-margarito- Cotto taking the knee has become an iconic image

Salido-juanma- absolute Classic action fights.. Both fights are thrilling classics

I'm sure I'm leaving some off but those are my favorites that I watched live.

              Chavez-Rosario
              Arce-Vazquz Jr was good fight
              Rosario-Ramirez
              Calderon-Cazares
              Zarate-Gomez
              Polomino-Benitez

All good fights also its shame that JMM, MAB ,Morales had no great Puerto rican rivals

Damn this history forum is empty with out my threads ,in Best UK boxer thread Iron Dan is going Hard on me ,he have no more good feelings to me ,he is very harsh on resumes ,and i probably crossed the line by disrespecting Hagler resume (i suspect that Hagler is one of his favorites)

In an ATG team setting, Mexico wipes out Puerto Rico. Much greater fight country with better fighters and more population to choose from. It only goes up to about welterweight, and I suspect Tito might take that division. Can't think of a Mexican weltereight who could take him, unless it be Hoya, who belonged to the U.S.

Man, in my life time, there haven't been many fights, let alone those between Mex v PR better than Cotto vs Margarito.

I honestly felt Cotto would take him but Marg was a beast that night. Monster.
