  • Fighters who can go up into the next division and win without adding any weight

SRR used to venture up into the middleweight division and fight 160 lb fighters while still weighing the welterweight limit of 147lbs.

Are there any fighters you can think of that could go up into the next division and be successful without putting on any weight?

Floyd beat De La Hoya for the 154 title and weighed 150, he could easily have weighed 147 and rehydrated to 150 on fight night.

Anyone can if they're fighting cab drivers.

they possibly can. unless a fighter is really draining himself a lot then moving up could be beneficial to him. if not, then why ignore the science of properly building up to be more competitive? it was old school back then, no conditioning coaches or nutritionists. you have these now, so if you have the resources, why not use them.

              Yeah, didn't you hear -

Recently "Archie" Solis went up from 108lbs to the Light Middleweight Division to face Alvarez!! - He didn't fair too well though apparently. I didn't see the fight, it was only in Mexico on PPV.
