LMAO yes..Trump got the US army to plant the virus in China then coordinated with the rest of the world to be unprepared and not close the borders just so a couple senators he barely knows (some of which are democrats who hate him) could get out without losing money

This is what shocks me. No one talks about anyone else. Yes he should have come out and said we are locking chit down for 60 days so everyone would panic all at once and there would be mass looting and crime.

I think his focus was on the economic ramifications as a whole not necessarily for his pals.
He did downplay it. He was not alone in that. And China wasn't exactly forthcoming with the information initially.

Heck I knew about the virus as early as December and that’s from watching YouTube and having an internet.

Too bad trump dismantled WHP. Could have been better prepared
Trump did not dismantle the WHP, why are you people so gullible, you'll believe anything the tv box tells you,

Getting a briefing on its seriousness is one thing, then you'd expect all of the senators and congressman to sell their stocks if that were the case, but only a few did. Im sure most of them got that briefing but not all senators responded the same.

And not for nothing, so what? They sold their stocks, good for them, what difference would've it made to you if they kept their stocks in the market and lost 30% of it, would that make you feel better?

And one Republican senator was briefing other people about it.

All the senators would have been privy to information before it was made public.

I only used the info from the article posted.
Im sure all of the senators were briefed on it, but only a few sold off their stocks. Also its not like they were getting briefings on it and we were in complete darkness. On the news and internet day in and day out the panic about Coronavirus was growing, most of us just ignored it. Im a fool for not selling my stocks back when the market dropped the first time at 2K.

getting briefing on seriousness on the matter is not important?

Would have been cool if he put up a front of being confidence but doing things behind the scene that prevents this log jams of testing, medicine development, hospital beds etc. but he didn’t! He was told it was serious and didn’t even plan anything

The smoking gun is the communist Chinese government. This is China's calculated response to the trade war from a few months ago. Poor people are an expendible resource to China

He closed down the border with China for crying out loud. The medicine, hospital beds, etc.. these are all done on a state by state level. Starts in the local government, then state, then Federal.

His initial response might've lagged the seriousness of the situation, but we also overestimate how much he could've done initially anyways. He was trying not to start a panic, and quite frankly the way he felt I think most of us felt as well if we are being honest, no one really expected this. And to be frankly honest, we are handling our crisis much better than Europe is, and that says something.
