People go where the money and fame is. AJ is a national hero while Wilder is not that well known. What would inspire the US kids on the street to take up boxing then? Won't they consider taking up Basketball or College Football?

Why people in Brazil and Argentina are so good at football? Why the Chinese dominate ping-pong? Why are there no cricket players in either of them or the US? Why Britain sucks at Basketball or American Football or Baseball? Why Chinese and Eastern Europe are good at Gymnastics?

Every country has some sports that is popular. Either there is money and fame to lure kids in OR there is good infrastructure in schools and colleges that provide an eco-system to generate top-tier athletes.

Why limit the list to 20 years? Boxing as a mainstream sport goes back to the 1920s. The heavyweight division didnt have a brit champion for nearly 100 years. You inbred losers cant compete with the USAs best athletes.

Don’t bother mentioning David Haye in the Klitschko era unless you’re going to mention guys like Valuev, Byrd, Ibragimov, Briggs, etc.

Lewis did not dominate the 1990s. No one dominated the 90s, it was incredibly competitive. But if any one country did, it would be the US who had the most champions by far with Holyfield, Tyson, Foreman, Bowe and Moorer. Lewis dominated the early 2000s.

That's not entirely true. Lewis ruled the HW division in the mid to late 90's. That's not debatable.

I thought rugby was mostly beer leagues - never heard of a rich or famous rugby player. But I'm not a Brit so feel free to correct me.

Very few elite athletes play more than one sport. Even boxing/MMA crossovers are usually silly circuses, not actual athletic events.

I don't know why he included AJ, but in Lennox Lewis' case. He was trained in Canada, so Brits get to claim to his glory.
