Well Mayweather doesn't want to fight him at the division where he's champion, so the answer should be pretty obvious.

I have Floyd winning the first 4 rounds outpointing GGG and boxing his ears off, then after round 5, Golovkin puts his ears back on, adjusts his distance, cuts off the ring more, and maintains a lower level and works his body, working his way back into a tie on the cards by round 10. Round 11 both fighters go toe to toe in the center of the ring and trade leather til the bell rings, and they are forced to separate by the ref, and Floyd sr, who runs into the ring Zab Judah fight style. Round 12 they meet again in the center of the ring and plant their feet and go blow for blow, until with 25 seconds left Golovkin drops him with a tremendous right hand that puts Floyd out cold for 40 seconds like JMM did Manny.

GGG never faced any fighter that has a style thats's remotley close to Floyd, Floyd is used to fighters coming at him all the time and he can fight going backwards, also the 6 extra pounds that GGG will lose will definitley make him tired especially in the later rounds where Floyd normally picks up and GGG doesn't have the experience of the championship rounds cuz he never had to go 12 in recent years and never ever fought/ went the distance with any top level fighter.
So if Floyd razzles and dazzles early and wins the first 4 rounds, then just moves and avoids contact for 4-5 rounds, then picks up the pace again in the late rounds like he normally does he can win this fight, and I truly believe that if Floyd wanted to completely avoid contact he can do it against anyone since he's still very fast on his feet, has great defensive reflexes and can tie up his opponent very well, the challenge would be to score points without getting caught.

Floyd... GGG would be weight drained at 154. People have to remember GGG hasn't made that weight in YEARS. The body changes after 30 and older fighters dropping weight almost never works out. He'd be going on to 34 years of age and would have to drop extra weight, this will have an impact on his strength and size, his only two advantages over Floyd. Plus he would be getting blood drawn while trying to cut and maintain his weight. He would be a dead man walking.
People on here seem to think Gennady will be just as strong at 154 as he is at 160 and he won't. Which is probably the reason why he wont fight Cotto or Canelo at a catchweight.

Floyd is too old and injury-prone now. He was never a big puncher, but he had decent punching power to disrupted his opponents rhythm and kept them at bay. I just can't see how Floyd at this stage of his career would be able to frustrate GGG and make him hesitant.
GGG has fought against bigger guys who punch harder than Floyd and he ate their punches and still walked through them and knocked them the **** out. GGG is really good at cutting the ring off which was something that Cotto and Maidana did very well against Floyd, but unlike those guys, GGG is not only obviously a bigger puncher, but he's a precise puncher who knows how to create openings by using his jab as a can opener/blinder to to trap his opponents into a corner.
Floyd is still sharp defensively, but all it'd take is one of those looping right hands to temple by GGG and Floyd would be out on his feet or instantly get put to sleep. I don't see how Floyd can win this one. He's simply too small, not big of a puncher who can keep GGG hesitant and he has ****ed hands. Floyd looked so clumsy when it comes to his offense based on what I've seen since he first fought Maidana all the way to his last fight against, Berto. Father time is undefeated and Floyd's defense wouldn't be enough to keep safe him from GGG's onslaught.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 10-23-2015, 11:17 PM.
