It looks like CDC says the 2014 rate was 24% higher than the 1999 rate. That's based on how many people per 100,000 commit the act.


Then for the second question, obviously today's society is becoming less and less conducive to the emotional well-being of the individual members. We live in the age of anxiety. People are scared to death about how the invisible judges of society will see them.

The research affirms previous studies that have shown higher suicide rates in rural areas.

The authors say that economic fallout from the Great Recession from 2007 to 2009, including house foreclosures, poverty, and unemployment — "with rural areas usually having greater prevalence of these negative factors" — likely had an impact on suicide rates.

Previous studies have noted that the nation's opioid epidemic, which has hit rural America especially hard, could also be a factor.

I dont know man I think in today's society it has became so pussified that they over look and write off the power of telling a clown motherfucker to "MAN IT THE FUCK UP!" when they are depressed, feeling down etc. hell its even looked down upon to tell a clown to "MAN IT THE FUCK UP" now. If you indulge in the "depression/sadness" and people enable you by making accommodations etc for you then you can only get more depressed out of it cause you are indugling/feeding/helping the feelings grow/fester/ and you give them life now.

Think about this,
If youre a bitch and scared of someone but dont want to be, what do you do when you see him again? do you run and hide and indulge the lil bitch inside you or do you stand up to dude and whatever happens happens but you break that fear/lil bitch you had in you over that situation? Only one route has a chance of over coming that fear and the other one guarantees you will stay a bitch forever.

I see lil nerds on here talking about "on friday im gonna get drunk af and think about XYZ (sad shit)" and then they wonder why they feel like shit and their life is so pathetic. MAN IT THE FUCK UP! A grown man shouldnt have the time to make playdates with his fucking feelings.
