Love him or hate him, but Bob is 100% right on this one. It's time to move away from both HBO & SHO Time.

Ward is a TV free agent, and Golovkin has already seemed to make it clear that he's not long for the sport either.

If Top Rank really is done with HBO, and HBO's boxing budget continues the way it continues, HBO Boxing will become the default home of Golden Boy Promotions (rather than Arum's histerics, Golden Boy has made it clear that he's largely on ESPN2 to help build exposure for his young prospects; by the time the Tecate-sponsored deal is through, Oscar would have Canelo Alvarez and hopefully a handful of fighters to package for HBO).

Lol duh, what you think PBC was for Bob

It's what fans have been complaining about and saying all these years.

Should have been promoting big fights on ESPN and Fox anyway. This is good news one of the main reasons for me having HBO was for boxing.

PBC on the cusp of getting a pay deal with Fox/FS1 (6-10 Fox dates and 30 dates on FS1, per year) for Phase 2 of the venture).

We still have no idea if ESPN is cutting a check here, or if Bob Arum went into his pocket (or someone else's pocket) to set the stage for a Top Rank Boxing platform.

Arum's stable isn't good enough to pull it off
