Maybe if 85 people owned half the marks in the world they would think differently.

    It's a pretty silly comparison.

      No? Ok.
Its an example of something someone has earned through their own hard work. Grades and money. Many college kids have no clue about what it is to earn a living, so grades are quite relevant. Using grades in place of a paycheck is something these kids can actually wrap their head around. Hell, this video is a perfect example of why I think the voting age should be raised to 25.

Instead of commenting about how socialism is bad using vague generalities be specific. This grade example put out by I assume Conservatives just points out why Conservatives are considered buffoons. Democratic Socialism wasn't designed to stifle achievement. It's supposed to provide necessities that people need to survive. For example proper health care, retirement packages, sanitation, taxes to support civil and federal governments etc.. I guess Socialism if it's strictly defined calls for state ownership over all property and institutions business included. Its clear that won't and hasn't worked. However pure Capitalism isn't acceptable by an educated population and is unworkable. Cutting to the chase
        this video is a joke.

The dumb kids wouldn't care as long as they pass the damn class. Once again Socialism is hated by the top elite. If we all were force to eat cheese sandwiches for dinner and we also get free health care and free education. Who would be complaining the guy making 6 figures or a bum? It works for some and doesn't work for others period. Nothing is one thing that fixes all. Capitalism isn't perfect but it works and socialism isn't perfect but it works. It just depends on your social economic standing in life and that's just life. You would be surprised to see who is actually in line for food stamps and disability at your local office , it's not all project people.

You gotta know how to play the game. Alot of people cheat in capitalism and you can also cheat in socialism. If they tried that bs grading system on me while in college i would just work half as hard. Just as long I pass, put any grade you want on that bs. This is coming from a person who graduated with 3.58 .

Your only problem is that socialism has never worked.

I'm also interested in your take on Venezuela. Can you explain why the standard of living in Venezuela was much, much better under capitalism, and is a disaster after about a decade or so of socialism?

Applied to capitalism: the kid whose parents got a 4.0 just get a 4.0 by default but the other kids have to work for it.

Agreed. Not sure why the "anti-lib" crowd gets so hard about bashing socialism.

Sweden and I know I will get an rebuttal.

To say socialism doesn't really work, as evidence by the fact even Sweden has privately owned businesses is disingenuous as saying capitalism doesn't really work because the US has public schools and social security.

Scandinavian countries , Canada and New Zealand are all good examples of countries witg primarily Socialist institution and ethics.

Venezuela was corrupted. Every big country in South America except Colombia has elected a Socialist president at some point. Socialist have taken power in South Americas largest economy ( Brazil), The poorest ( Bolivia) , and the most capitalist (Chile). Socialist have led South Americas most stable country (Uruguay).

Argentina and Peru elected two leftist who for various reasons don't label themselves socialist but certainly governed as such.

                    Clear point it's the country.

Of course you'll get a rebuttal. You're parroting Team D talking points not rooted in reality.

Here's a great link that blows that talking point out of the water, and from the Swedes themselves:
                      http://m.rasmussenreports.com/public...sn_t_socialist

I'd love to hear your take on that.

As shown above, Sweden isnt socialist.

                      No, they are not.

Not to be rude, as we've gotten along so far, but I figured you for someone smart enough not to blindly believe what people calling you "stupid" tell you.

Socialist countries are places like Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc.

                      Ah, the corruption excuse.

Again, no offense but your entire argument and rebuttals have been Team D talking points.

I must ask you to up your game.

A good place to start would be to speak to me as yourself, not as an NPC.

                      False, again.

I dont know about Bolivia, Chile, or Uruguay, but Brazil is ran by a Trump type president, not a socialist.

So again I ask, why the failure in Venezuela?

If you want to stick to the "corruption" excuse, then I'd love to hear you explain why the socialists were corrupt enough to destroy the Venezuelan economy, but the capitalists were obviously not corrupt, as the standard of living was light years better under the capitalists.
