  • southpaws, what are some setting up shots strategies?

    what are some southpaw vs orthodox setting up punches strategies you guys use or some strategies you witnessed pros use?

    Mainly it's improvisation with the use of different level combos or without it. These things can be preceded or succeeded by additional punches and moves or repetions of some parts of combos..

    basic things

    jab to the head with the step behind opp's front leg
    jab to the body
    jab to the head, jab to the body and vice versa
    jab to the head, left straight to the body, right hook to the head ( or just jab/hook to the head, left straight to the body)
    left straight to the head, right hook to the head

    going back:

    double jab to the head
    jab to the head, left hook to the head

    if the opp's behind the block:
    straight 1-2 to the head + right hook to the head
    hooks to the head 1-2 x n times
    straight/hooks 1-2 to the head, right hook to the head, left uppercut to the head (right hook to the head, left uppercut to the head can be repeated)

    some things of different level you'd better watch
