there are boxers who could punch faster like khan and russell jr. but in terms of quickness and timing it dont get much better than canelo. he processes things very fast. I think breadman already explained the difference between speed and quickness in one of the mailbags. what I was impressed by was his footwork. remember before the fight they were calling him cement feet. he was able to get off the ropes when he felt like it. ggg might have been aggressive and coming forward but it was ineffective.

Canelo has the fastest hands at middleweight. Without a doubt nobody in his weight class can enter a ring with an advantage over him in hand speed. Beyond that it's almost impossible to compare or judge hand speed for middleweight to say a featherweight or flyweight. The size difference is just so massive to judge guys who are so tiny or so much bigger.

More important then his hand speed, because there are tons of fighters who had just fast hands what separates Canelo is extremely fast hands AND very accurate with impeccable timing. It's like a pitcher if you can throw 100 mph but can't locate your pitches and no change up/movement great hitters will eventually time you. The great pitches have pin point accuracy and can drop their velocity to keep you off your toes. We see some fighters who throw every punch 100mph but are barely hitting anything just wasting punches and no timing or accuracy. Canelo will change his speed, angles and can land in precise openings. He will also set you up with traps see the Khan kill shot. Threw a slow lazy left to the body to freeze khan then followed with a lightning fast overhand right. The left was a decoy. Most didn't even see or understand the decoy in real time because it was so fast happened in 1 sec you needed to slow it down to see what Canelo was doing.

Fuc you, no brain power. This is just another one of your many threads attacking GGG under the guise of praising Canelo. If GGG was so slow how did he manage to land 40 more punches than Canelo landed you brainless ass hole?

Braver? How's that? Hasn't shown interest in Mikey at 135 and is balking at faded/old Pacquiao??

                  Definitely faster though

Well Canelo threw 200 less punches and yet still landed more power punches.

                    How does that happen????

How can you compare a middleweight to a welterweight, its like saying Joshua would beat Andre Ward, obviously but it doesn't take away the fact that Ward is a better fighter. Canelo was badly outclassed by Mayweather, could have lost against the Cuban, and should have lost against GGG.
